The LA Originals

Los Angeles is a city filled with culture. With art museums like the Broad and the Museum of Ice Cream making an appearance, LA natives can't get enough of the creative activations in the city. Funded by the Mayor's Fund and the Mayor's Office of Economic Development, the LA Original Program is aimed to help creative entrepreneurs have a platform to sell and promote their products. This is a creative effort produced by 72andSunny, a LA native Ad Agency. The campaign has a video ad, online shop, website, Facebook and Instagram page.

The objective of the campaign is to highlight the talent creatives in LA in a fun and inspiring way. The funds made from this project go towards helping entrepreneurs pursue their dreams. While aimed at everyone in the LA area, a big target of this movement are the millennial crowd that are attracted to the work.

I never really thought about re-branding a city into something fun. Most times, re-branding for cities include boring state logos and they're not creative at all. From the simple LA logo, to the fun colors, this campaign highlights all the best creative parts of the city. The video reel highlights singers like Kendrick Lamar, and famous LA sights like the LACMA lamp posts and the exterior of the Broad Museum. All the things that make LA, LA.
